Summary:
eLTER H2020 is co-promoted by the LTER-Europe network and the European Critical Zone Observatories (CZO) community, aiming the development of an Integrated European Long-Term Ecosystem Research Infrastructure.
The overall aim of the eLTER H2020 project is to advance the European network of Long-Term Ecosystem Research sites and socio-ecological research platforms to provide highest quality services for multiple use of a distributed research infrastructure.
To achieve this, 162 LTER sites/LTSER platforms in 22 countries will provide data on long-term trends in environmental change. Test cases using these data will address a range of environmental and social issues to push innovation in network level services and steer conceptual developments.
The CE3C team is an active partner of the eLTER consortium because it coordinates the LTER Portugal network and operates the LTsER Montado platform (http://www.ltsermontado.pt/) that is providing data (Virtual Access) and physical access to invited researchers. eLTER H2020 runs from 01 June 2015 - 31 May 2019.
