Welcome to the CE3C Seminar I
The CE3C Seminar I is an interactive and engaging seminar series designed primarily for first-year PhD students under CE3C supervision.
Over the course of 15 weeks, participants will explore cutting-edge research topics, critically discuss scientific papers, and engage directly with CE3C researchers across different groups.
More than just a seminar, it is an opportunity to broaden scientific perspectives, build connections within the CE3C community, and develop essential research skills. For first-year PhD students enrolled in doctoral programmes such as Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (BIODIV ULisboa) and Biology (CIÊNCIAS), participation in this seminar can be formally integrated into their doctoral curriculum as part of their structured training.
Each session is led by a CE3C researcher, featuring insightful discussions based on pre-assigned papers. Participants will also participate in 'Encontros Scientia' and CE3C conferences, further enriching their research experience.
CE3C Seminar I – 1st Semester 2025/2026
CE3C is once again organising an Advanced Seminar (CE3C Seminar I) for the 1st semester of 2025/2026 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (CIÊNCIAS). This seminar is mainly intended for CE3C students enrolling in their first PhD year in the Doctoral Programmes in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (BIODIV ULisboa) and Biology (CIÊNCIAS). With 30-32 hours of contact, it can be integrated into the 1st-year curriculum of these PhD programmes.
