Summary:
The main aim of this project is to develop an analytical approach to characterize the site-level connectivity of shorebirds based on multiple sources of movement data (tracking, colour-ring re-sightings and metal ringing recovery data), as revealed through network analysis. Using this analysis, we will map and quantify the importance of wetland sites from a connectivity perspective and identify gaps in protection and priorities sites for the conservation of several species – including the Black-tailed Godwit and the Eurasian Curlew.
