I received a Ph.D. in Biology and Ecology of the Global Changes from the University of Lisbon, in collaboration with the University of Aveiro, in 2024. Currently, I am an Initial Stage PhD Researcher in the Conservation Ecology and Society group of CE3C. My research focuses on conservation ecology of vertebrates, more specifically terrestrial mammal ecology and their conservation in socio-ecological systems. For many years I have been involved in wildlife ecology, management and conservation research using wolves as model system. My research is driven by two overarching objectives: 1) understand mammalian ecological networks dynamics in a global chage context; 2) understand how we can conserve biodiversity and promote functional ecological networks in both agroforestry and socio-ecological systems.
