Alexander Shatrovskiy

I graduated my PhD in Entomology from the Zoological Institute of Academy of Sciences of the USSR in Leningrad [now Saint Petersburg] in 1985. I worked as Associate professor in V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine till 2022. I am a Head of the Kharkiv Entomological Society and member of editorial office of “Kharkiv Entomological Society Gazette”. Starting from 2022 I work at National Museum of Natural History and Science, Lisbon, as an external researcher. I am also an external collaborator at CE3C. My research interests are systematics, ecology and zoogeography on the target group the beetles of the superfamily Hydrophiloidea, and I am interested in other water beetles too. I'm currently pursuing research on the Portuguese insect fauna.
