Rita Eusébio is conducting a Ph.D. in Biology and Ecology of Global Changes by the University of Lisbon starting in 2021 within the Subterranean Ecology group. She is conducting the project "Management and conservation of biodiversity in shallow subterranean ecosystems of Portugal", under the supervision of Ana Sofia Reboleira, and co-supervision of Maria da Luz Mathias and Rui Rebelo.
The goal of this project is to understand how the faunal communities of the superficial subterranean environment (MSS) are threatened by anthropogenic pressures, in order to contribute to a more effective environmental management adjusted to the specificities of this habitat.
