Eva K. Nóbrega
PhD StudentEva K. Nóbrega is conducting a Ph.D. in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution by the University of Lisbon starting in 2024 within the Tropical and Mediterranean Biodiversity research group (TMB) of CE3C. She is conducting the project "The dark side of a brighter world: ecological impacts of artificial light at night on island bats", under the supervision of Jorge Palmeirim from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, Ricardo Rocha from Biology Department of University of Oxford, and Fiona Mathews from School of Sciences of the University of Sussex. project aims are: understand the threats affecting island bats, evaluate the effects of streetlight lamp replacement on bats, assess how ALAN and inter-specific metrics affect bat activity and distribution, and investigate spatiotemporal dynamics of island bats.
