Francisco M. P. Gonçalves
External CollaboratorI received a Ph.D. in PLANT ECOLOGY from the University of Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences of the University of Hamburg in 2019 and I am currently leading the/working in the Mandume Ya Ndemufayo University. I am a part-time professor of Plants Biology at the ISCED-Huíla.
My research focuses on forest resources, dynamic of woodlands, biomass and carbon stocks. For many years I have been involved in many scientific/research projects (e.g. TFO) conducting research to support for sustainable land and manangement in the Okavango basin, and working groups such as: SEOSAW AND GEO-TREES. My current research is driven by three overarching objectives: quantify forest resources, biomass and carbon stocks in tropical ecosystems, especially in miombo region.
