ResearcherI received a Ph.D. in Biomedicine from the University of Nova de Lisboa in 2023 and I am currently working in the Cilia in Development and Disease. I am a Researcher of Developmental Biology at the University of Lisbon. My research focuses on motile cilia in disease.
For many years I have been involved in left-right patterning research using as model system zebrafish.
My current research is driven by three overarching objectives: generating zebrafish CRISPR/Cas9 mutants for genes involved in Primary Ciliary dyskinesia. Testing mRNA Therapy in zebrafish larvae. Left-right patterning in the zebrafish embryo and dand5 expression.
