Diogo Filipe Serrano dos Santos Roque

Diogo Santos-Roque is, since 2022, conducting a Ph.D. in development biology by the University of Lisbon within the G2PiR. He is conducting the project "Mechanisms of maintenance and evolution of blood cell proportions in D. melanogaster", under the supervision of Professor Élio Sucena. Diogo's Ph.D. project aims are: 1. Study the developmental dynamics and functional relevance of haemocyte proportions in populations with diverging haemocytes compositions; 2. Identify the genetic basis for variation in haemocyte proportions.
