I received a Ph.D. in Biomedicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) in 2013 and I am currently working in the Integrative Biomedicine Research Group as a Researcher. My research focuses on developing a novel method to identify and target dormant cancer cells in vivo.
Since 2020, I have been working on synthetic and computational biology to engineer new genetic tools for human cell type diagnosis and treatment. In collaboration with Dr Gontijo and Dr Javier Bravo-Cordero, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (NY, USA), I started a new line of investigation in the lab based on an entirely new approach to identify and target dormant cancer cells that may eventually lead to long-term metastatic spread.
