I graduated in Biology and did a Master in Ecology in the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of University of Coimbra. My master’s degree thesis aimed to understand macroinvertebrates’ feeding behaviour and performance through changes in leaf litter quality in small streams ecosystems. I joined the group in 2013 as a technician responsible for the maintenance of spider mite populations, plant rearing and general technical support, then became the lab manager in 2019.
I am in charge of material acquisition, time and space management, management of infrastructures and equipment, and training of the new technicians and students of the group. I also provide a helping hand in the experiments whenever needed.
