I am a research technician, mostly conducting bioinformatic analyses. I have completed my M.Sc. under the supervision of Inês Fragata and Vítor Sousa. For my thesis I investigated the genomics of cadmium-adaptation in homogeneous versus heterogeneous environments, taking advantage of a pre-established experimental evolution setup, including Tetranychus urticae as the study species. I am currently applying for a PhD scholarship under the supervision of Inês Fragata, Vítor Sousa and Erik van Bergen. The project will aim to quantify how coevolutionary dynamics between plants and herbivores affect the tempo and mode of evolutionary change, and test if and how these dynamics are species specific.
