I received a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Gothenburg in 2015 and I am currently working in the CoBIG2 group of CE3C. My research focuses primarily on plant systematics, evolution and population genomics.
For the past years I have been involved in studies related to plant and algae evolution, phylogenetics and speciation. My current research is driven by three overarching objectives: estimating the genetic variation in natural populations of Quercus suber and other Quercus species, inferring correlations between local genetic profiles and environmental variables, assessing the adaptive capacity of tree populations under future climate conditions.
