I received a Ph.D. in BiologyC from the University NOVA de Lisboa (Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia) in 2018 and I am currently working in the Ecological Evolutionary Developmental Biology research group. My research focuses on the impact of epigenetic inheritance on evolutionary processes. For many years I have been involved in epigenetic inheritance research using different model system such as yeast and zebrafish. My current research is driven by three overarching objectives: molecular basis of epigenetic inheritance, its evolutionary consequences and adaptive potential of phenotypic plasticity.
