For many years I have been involved in grassland conservation research using lepidoptera as model system.

My current research is driven by two overarching objectives:

1. investigate the genetic basis of phenotypic heterogeneity and plasticity, including the origin and role of novel genes;
2. in the context of climate change, understand the role of multifactorial environmental information on plasticity and adaptation.
