Renata Isabel Lino dos Santos
PhD StudentRenata Santos is a biologist now conducting a PhD in Agricultural Engineering at LEAF - Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture and Food (ISA) and CE3C - Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (FCUL). The PhD project aims to understand the relationships between pests, natural enemies and pollinators with peripheral plants and organic vineyards, to aid the development of management strategies that favour biological control and biodiversity conservation.
Since 2013 she has worked in the fields of entomology, conservation biology and environmental education with Tagis - Butterfly Conservation Center, in projects like the Biodiversity Stations Network, the Insects in Order exhibition and the Red List of Terrestrial and Freshwater Invertebrates of Portugal. She is also a member of the AgroEcological Caravan team.
