Mariana Lapa
External CollaboratorI have a Master’s degree in Animal Ecology from Lund University in Sweden, and since 2017 I have been working as a Research Assistant at the Molecular Ecology and Evolution Lab (MEEL, Lund University) and contributing to an ongoing long-term study of the great reed warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus) population of lake Kvismaren, Sweden. My main focus has been both behavioural and molecular ecology.
I am currently collaborating with Professor Carlos Fernandes and Professor Margarida Santos-Reis at Evolutionary Genetics Lab. In the context of Life Imperial project, I am helping to evaluate the impact of carnivores on the main prey of the Imperial Eagle. More specifically I am assisting in the lab with species identification of non-invasive samples collected in the study area.
