I received a Ph. in Zooecology from Uppsala University in 1988. I am a Professor Emeritus in Animal Ecology at Uppsala University. My research focuses on Evolutionary Ecology, Evolutionary Genetics, Invasion Biology, Climate change.
For many years I have been involved in analysing long-term data on the island population of Collared flycatchers in Sweden, and the genetics of the invasive round goby in the Batic Sea, as well as the ecological genetics of the otter in Sweden.
My current research is driven by three overarching objectives:
Effects of climate change on bird populations in Sweden and in the Pyrenees,
The importance of past history for the evolutionary trajectories of populations, Effect of climate change on felids in India
