Olga Ameixa is a PhD in Ecosystems Biology obtained at the University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. She is currently a post-doc researcher at the Department of Biology & CESAM at the University of Aveiro and IBBC-CE3C.
Her research focus have mainly been on the anthropogenic environmental impacts on biodiversity, namely, effects of non-sustainable agricultural practices, introduction of invasive species and climate change, using mainly insects as a model group. More recently, she is also interested in ecosystem services provided by insects, in citizen science and in the ecology of costal ecosystems.
