I will work with populations of freshwater fish from the Squalius genus (Iberian chubs), to unravel the demographic history of the possible hybrid lineage of Squalius pyrenaicus, using demographic modelling. Also, I aim to look for evidence of selection in this lineage and understand the distribution of genomic contribution from the parental populations using chromosome painting.
