Fernando Felizes

Fernando Felizes is conducting a Ph.D. in Olive volatiles (Olea europaea) in attracting/repelling the olive fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae) by the University of Lisbon starting in 2024, under the supervision of Profª. Ana Cristina Figueiredo (FCUL), Profª. Elisabete Figueiredo (ISA) and Drª. Fernanda Simões (INIAV), project aims are: study and identify volatile compounds from olive cultivars, using different gas chromatography techniques, to be used in the development of protection strategies against Bactrocera oleae.
