Pedro Barbosa

Pedro Barbosa is conducting a Ph.D. in Biology by the University of Évora. He is conducting the project “Compounds produced by plants for the control of the plant-parasitic nematode Pratylenchus penetrans”, under the supervision of Cláudia Sofia Leite Vicente Letras Ph.D. (Universidade de Évora), Ana Cristina da Silva Figueiredo Ph.D. (Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa) and Manuel Galvão de Melo e Mota Ph.D. (Universidade de Évora). Project aims to identify compound(s), naturally produced by plants, which are able to control Pratylenchus penetrans and simultaneously being safe to agronomic explored crops.
