Adija Wilssone

Adija Fernando Wilssone is conducting a PhD in Sustainability Science by the University of Lisbon starting in 2020. She is conducting the project Authenticity of Gorongosa honey, under the supervision of Prof Cristina Maguas. Project aims are to study the diversity of wild bees in the Gorongosa region; do ecological characterisation and mapping of areas with beekeeping potential in the Gorongosa region; to develop techniques of quality and origin of honey that are not being implemented in Mozambique; to identify beekeeping ecosystem services and their trade-offs; to analyse Gorongosa honey production value chain and to study gender inclusion in beekeeping.
