I am a plant ecologist with a PhD in Biology (University of Lisbon, 1995) and a post-doctoral training at CREAF/Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain (1998-2000). My research has been focused on the ecology and sustainability of cork-oak woodlands and other Mediterranean vegetation types, and on the ecological restoration of Mediterranean limestone quarries.
I participated in 10 national and international projects concerning such subjects. Currently, I am a Researcher (Collaborator) in the Plant Functional Ecology group of CE3C. My present work also includes the management of scientific information (revision, organization, editing).
