Halaze Manhice
PhD StudentHalaze Manhice is a fisheries management researcher and consultant, dedicated to understanding and addressing the complex challenges facing marine ecosystems. As a lecturer at Eduardo Mondlane University, she shares her knowledge in fisheries legislation, oceanic governance, sea law, and marine ecology. She currently leads the Centro de Estudos Costeiros Department, where she oversees research projects aimed at sustainable marine resource management.
Halaze's work extends beyond academia. She provides expert advice to policymakers and stakeholders, helping to develop and implement effective fisheries policies. Her research focuses on analyzing complex issues and proposing evidence-based solutions to ensure the long-term health of our oceans.
Halaze is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies at the University of Lisbon, building upon her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Marine Biology and fisheries management from Eduardo Mondlane University.
