I received a PhD in Biology, with specialization in Biotechnology, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon in 2024 and I am currently working as a Researcher in the Plant-Soil Ecology group. Since 2012, My research focuses on the development of sustainable processes and products for mushroom cultivation.
During my PhD thesis my work focused on developing novel tools and criteria for sustainable cultivation of Terfezia species - an endogenous desert truffle. My current research relates to macrofungi, plant-soil interactions, biocomposites and bioeconomy. I’m also passionate about using science and technology to develop sustainable solutions for food production and environmental conservation.
