Kiat Ng
ResearcherWith a background in Human and Physical Geography (PhD) and Environmental Engineering (MSc, BEng), she envisions a regenerative future through researching feasible solutions that consider the interdependencies and interconnectedness of humans and the environment. Over the past decade, she has been involved in various national and EU-funded research projects in the field of sustainable climate change adaptation and coastal resilience. Her work ranges from developing broad-scale coastal vulnerability assessment indices to exploring local-scale solutions that work with nature and consider the well-being of all.
Applying research methodology grounded in multi-scalar, holistic and transdisciplinary approaches, her research interests revolve around social-ecological resilience, coastal vulnerability assessments, regenerative design and planning, nature-based solutions, and inclusive engagement strategies. She is currently a member of the European Horizon project NBRACER: Nature Based Solutions for Atlantic Regional Climate Resilience.
