Important notice [08 Mar 2020] - COVID-19: suspension of all cE3c Advanced Courses
We regret to inform you that all cE3c Advanced Courses have been suspended until further notice, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We cannot at this time make predictions about when the situation is solved and courses may take place, but this will be amply informed as soon as possible.
Mind that the calendar still mentioned in this page is no longer valid. At this point, tutors will not have news about when/if there will be an alternative calendar before summer. Eventually, some courses may occur by videoconference or other non-presential tools, in which case full advertisement will be made.

Poster Advanced courses 2019-2020

Advanced Courses
2019-2020

cE3c is organising a new set of advanced courses to be held during 2019-2020. These Courses are of high interest in the formation of students enrolling in the first year of the Doctoral Programmes in Biology (ULisboa), Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (University of Lisbon and University of Porto) and Biology and Ecology of Global Changes (University of Lisbon and University of Aveiro), for whom they are free (as long as they count credits for their PhD Programme). The Courses can also be attended by post-graduate students of other Doctoral Programmes or master students in Biology and related areas, and others with basic adequate formation (e.g. 1st cycle in Biology or related areas).

Details of each Course, including calendar, programme, and registration details, can be found by clicking the respective course below.

For PhD students of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, enrolling in these courses as part of their first doctoral year, the courses can have a recognition of 1 ECT for each 6 presencial hours. Courses with maximum duration of 36 hours can have a recognition of 6 ECTs (the full 36 presencial hours) or 5 ECTs (30 presencial hours). In the latter case the last 6 hours of the course are not mandatory and the certificate will be on 'Topics in “Name of the course”’.

For first year PhD students for which these courses count credits, the delivery of a final report is required, to develop during the weeks following the course attendance, with details provided by the teacher(s).
