Célia Domingues is a Ph.D. student in the Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (BIODIV) doctoral programme at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, within the Genomics and Evolutionary Ecology of Microorganisms group of CE3C and at INIAV (National Institute of Agrarian and Veterinary Research), starting in 2022. She is conducting the project "Evolutionary dynamics of bacterial genomes and metagenomes", under the supervision of Teresa Nogueira (CE3C, INIAV) and Francisco Dionísio (CE3C). Célia's Ph.D. project aims to understand and characterize the distribution of cryptic plasmids in both genomes and metagenomes, using bioinformatics tools.
