Bishwajit Roy has received a PhD degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies from the University of Lisbon. His PhD focused on sea level rise impacts assessment and adaptation measures for coastal areas of Bangladesh. He is passionate about finding sustainable adaptation measures and nature-based solutions to mitigate the adverse climate change and sea level rise-induced impacts for the agriculture sector. Currently, he has been working as a researcher in Horizon 2020 research projects. He has experience working with Remote Sensing and GIS, content analysis software MAXQDA and Decision analysis software PROMETHEE III and uses them for exploring and developing solutions to real-life climate change-induced problems. He has extensive experience collaborating with stakeholders such as government agencies, NGOs, and local communities at national and international levels. He is highly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of science and policy on climate change and adaptation and to make a positive difference in the lives of the people who are most affected by it.
