Ana Carromeu-Santos is conducting a Ph.D. in Biologia do Genoma e Evolução/Biologia e Ecologia das Alterações Globais by the University of Lisbon starting in 2020. She is conducting the project "Impact of anticoagulant rodenticides in pest control: genetic resistance and taget and non-target bioaccumulation", under the supervision of Sofia Gabriel and Maria da Luz Mathias.
Project aims are: - Assess levels of resistance to anticoagulant rodenticides, in populations from mainland Portugal and soth of Spain, Madeira and Azores archipelagos; - Determine the anticoagulant rodenticides bioaccumulation in target and non-target animals; - Assess the perceptions and knowledge of anticoagulant rodenticides users about the impact of that biocides.
