I completed my PhD in Biology (Ecology) in 2015 at the University de Lisbon. I have a strong background in mammal ecology and physiology. My work has been mostly dedicated to the study of energetics in small mammals, trying to understand the demands of thermal regulation and environmental constraints influencing energetic homeostasis.
My current work in CE3C focuses on the behavioral and physiological responses to environmental stressors, in particular those resulting from anthropogenic activity, such as urbanization. I am interested in the species adaptation processes to changing environments, understanding coping and resilience mechanisms.
