I received a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Tübingen in 2011 and I am currently working at the University of Salzburg a an assistant professor. I am an collaborator in the Ecophysiology of Small Mammals Group of CE3C. My research focuses on the impact of urbanisation and other global changes on the behaviour and physiology of small mammals. For many years I have been involved in behavioural ecology research using mainly shrews as model system. My current research is driven by the goal to better understand how human-induced rapid environmental changes affect the biology and diversity of wild animal populations.
