I received a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Coimbra in 2015, and my research focuses on projections of climate change.
Over the last years, I have been involved in research on aspects related to rainfall (e.g., measurements, characterization of rainfall variability and raindrop properties, and laboratory simulations), supported by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Recently, I have been working in a project directed towards the analysis of climatic projections for Angola, funded by COBA S.A. The project I am involved with, at the moment, aims to develop Municipal Strategies for Adaptation to Climate Change - ClimAdaPT.Local.
My current research is driven by three overarching objectives: i) assessment of climate variability and extreme events; ii) analysis of climate projections obtained by regional climate models; iii) development of adaptation strategies under climate change.
